All eyes are on the show 'Banungi Main Miss India', who will be the Miss India 2006. The grand finale of Pond's Femina Miss India Pageant is going to be held on Saturday, 18th March 2006 and Sony TV will be airing the show.
ZOOM TV had taken an innovative initiative by presenting Pond's 'Banungi Main Miss India' 12 episode reality series and it was the first of its kind show laced with a reality element extensively used on the program. The show aired on ZOOM TV every Wednesday to Friday at 9.00 p.m. The show was hosted by none other than the beauty queen-last year's Femina Miss India Earth-2005 Niharika Singh (you have seen this stunningly innocent lass recently in Babul Supriyo's song 'Tere Liye').
The first 2 hour episode of the show telecast on February 22, 2006 that had been co-hosted by the former super model turned actor dashing Milind Soman. The entire process of getting the girls selected in regional rounds and then finalists coming to the city of dreams Mumbai and settling down in the luxurious five star hotels was shown. The special highlight of this first episode was audience's votes for their favorite contestants; this was done for the first time in the history of beauty pageant.

The show also gave the candid view into the lives of the 25 gorgeous girls fighting to win the title 'Pond's Femina Miss India 2006'. ZOOM put its lens to capture the whole saga of behind the scenes drama, contestants' insecurities, their highs and lows, their emotions, happiness, their trials plus tribulations, hard work and the fun they had with each other on the training sessions. And you witnessed it all on the channel.
The contestants, who have won the maximum votes, will get a place in the top ten of the final contest that will air on Sony TV this Saturday on 18th March, 2006. The girls had been trained by the best in field from Hemant Trivedi, Daboo Ratnani, Deanne Pandey, Ruksana Eisa, Sandip Soparrkar, Sabeera Merchant, Bharat and Doris, Mehar Bhasin to Dr. Sandesh Mayekar. And these sessions were telecast on ZOOM's BMMI show. From perfect skin to million dollar smiles, from looking good to feeling good, the gals have been trained by these highly qualified professionals.

Former Miss India Earth 2006 Niharika Singh looked excited on hosting this innovative show, 'BMMI' on ZOOM. "It was a wonderful and full of enjoyment experience to host the show and be with the contestants. It's a life-time experience". Singh chips in enthusiastically.
Some of the ravishing sexy beauties, who have made their mark and won the coveted crown of Femina Miss India so far, remember the time they won the title and speak about the India being a part of the selection process this year,
Celina Jaitely - Being a girl from Kolkata, the nightclubs in the city turned off their music to watch me on big screens; while I was being crowned on stage, they were bursting fireworks to celebrate my victory. My Dad was so nervous that he stayed back at home on the day of the event, and when he heard I won he came rushing to venue and carried me in his arms like a baby.
Diana Hayden - I have no regrets about the year I was crowned because I was standing before a brilliant panel of judges - from Kumaramangalam Birla to Rajmata Gayatri Devi. I would have no problems if India was voting too; that's great too as a concept and shows how technology brings the world closer. I think I would be crowned anyways. Ha! Ha!
Lara Dutta - The involvement of both - the jury and the public - would be the best option. A jury is a select team of people who know the business and therefore also know what would be internationally required. It would be great if more people really get the chance to be a part of it. Public voting could transcend to all strata of society, that way the entire country can choose their winner and representative. That would be fantastic.
Neha Dhupia - To have your audience vote for you and cast their vote for you is not only fair but also a huge compliment. Because they are my audience now. If they themselves have chosen me, then they have already given me their approval. It would have been even more encouraging if the same process had been carried out when I won the crown.
Forget all your work this Saturday night on 18th March, 2006 and sit in front of your TV sets since Sony Entertainment will bring you the full of excitement and pleasurable fiesta of the grand finale of Pond's Femina Miss India 2006 Contest at 8.00 p.m.
