Suhasini to focus on small screen

Suhasini Suhasini Maniratnam, actress turned director who married the most sort-after director, Maniratnam has always had a mind of her own. Suhasini, who made a mark in Tamil film, will be seen in a new avatar now. She will be anchoring a road show on Raj TV to discover the different facets of women.

Suhasini said that though she was initially reluctant to move to the small screen, after shooting for a couple of episodes, she felt very comfortable. The actress who has acted in over 200 films in various South Indian
languages is very excited that her aspiration of having direct contact with the masses will be fulfilled with this programme titled 'Ladies Junction'. From acting to directing and now, with this programme, Suhasini has fulfilled her social responsibility as well.

The show would be a perfect platform for women in the State to talk on interesting issues, showcase their talent and have fun. It would capture the essence of womanhood in an entertaining and enriching manner.

The show would be on air for the next 52 weeks. The actress who won the national award for best actress in SINDHU BHAIRAVI had to give up on an offer to direct a Bollywood movie by Subhash Ghai for the programme. Suhasini meanwhile also hopes to do a couple of short films besides a full-length feature film in future.
