"Yes. I am getting married next January. Deepak and I are engaged this summer," said Simran to the media recently. There have been reports about her marriage in the media but she didn't declare officially. After months of hush-hush, she came out in the open about her marriage with her long time boyfriend Deepak Bagga, a Delhi based Airlines professional. 

"We engaged to each other in May at the residence of Deepak in New Delhi. We wanted to keep it as a family affair," she revealed. But she refused to divulge more about her marriage. "We haven't decided the date. But it will most certainly in January 2004," she added. 

 

How they met?

"We are childhood friends. Deepak and I know each other for about 17 years. But we parted as we went ahead in our lives taking up jobsAgain we met this January at a show and in course of time, I realized he's the man for me," Simran narrated how she struck emotional chord with Deepak. And when we have decided to tie the knot, Deepak met my father, she said. "Both the families were happy. Soon we are engaged," she tells joyfully. 

 

A short break

Will she continue acting after the marriage? Well, she says, she would. After the wedding she is planning to take a short break. "And after making my house, I will be back to acting in a few months," she reveals.
