Chennai police had arrested a five- member gang - including two brothers of actress Babylona - for allegedly kidnapping and torturing her husband and his first family. Babylona, who had acted in several item numbers in Tamil films and done soft porn films, had married Arjun Das on Nov 05, 2003 even though Arjun having a wife and two children already. 

He lied to her about his marriage and told her that he is a government officer, the police said. Then he started spending her money lavishly. 

His act of siphoning off her money infuriated the actress' two brothers. So they along with three others went to Arjun' s house, took him and his family by force and held them hostage in Babylona's house at Dasarathapuram since 16 January.

Arjun's first wife Mini, however, managed to contact her family in Kerala over phone and briefed her mother about the incident. Her mother sent a complaint to the Saidapet police through post. The police began investigations and arrested the five on charges of kidnapping.
