Sarika to play a role in Teja’s JAI?

News is that Kamal Hasan’s estranged wife and former heroine, Sarika, is playing a vital role in Telugu hotshot director Teja’s latest film, JAI. He’s roped her in to play a mother role in this film, sources said. Sarika who is living separately from Kamal has made re-entry in PUNNAGAI POOVE but she didn’t make any impact.

She is now looking for a big break to start continuing acting in films. She’s also playing an important role in actor turned director Deepak Tijori’s JULIE, which has Neha Dupia in the lead role.

Prabhudeva sticks to dance direction?

After ALLADIN’s flop, Prabhudeva seems to have realized that he should stop doing hero roles. He has not accepted any new film so far in Tamil, though he is doing guest roles in Telugu. Like Lawrence, he has reportedly decided to stick to dance direction only.

Ilayaraja's dilemma: To act or not

Many filmmakers in the past tried to rope in Ilayaraja for their films as an actor but with no success. Yet, Kamalhasan, a close friend of Isaignani and Rajkiran are again persuading him to act in their current projects. News is that Kamal has been insisting Ilayaraja to play an important role in his film, which is yet to be titled.

Raja is scoring music for this film. But this great music maestro is sticking to his conviction not to act in the films except appearing as a music director occasionally. Rajkiran is making a film now, KONJI PESALAM, which has music by Ilayaraja. 

Raja and Kamal had been successful and delivered hits like EN RASAVIN MANASILAE and ELLAMAI EN RASATHAN. Kamal has also asked Raja to play a pivotal role in KONJI PESALAM. According to sources, Raja may accept Kamal's offer.
