Vilasini back with vengeance

'Real' life can be much more terrifying than 'reel' life as life sometimes takes a painful and unexpected turn. That's exactly what happened to Vilasini, the producer and actress of KARAGAATAKARI.

The few films that she acted in were NALLA MANASUKAARAN with Pandiyarajan, AANDIPATTI ARASAMPATTI and KOVILPATTI VEERALAKSHMI. Unfortunately, all the films bombed at the box office. It was then that Vilasini fell in the trap of a director. By the time she realized it and came out of it, the police had barged in and she was framed for prostitution. Not to be let down, the actress came back to the industry with the film titled KARAGAATAKARI. Vilasini, it is believed was so impressed with the story that was narrated by Bharatikannan that she decided to produce it herself.

The story of KARAGAATAKARI revolves around a folk dancer who avenges the crime committed on her by killing all those who were involved in it. The first half of the story is very similar to Vilasini's real life. It is indeed a record for an actress who had been arrested for prostitution to come out of it with vengeance and go ahead with producing a film.
