Pasupathy is happy man now. Pasupathy who played villan role in Kamal Haasan's VIRUMANDI, has not only got applause from the audiences and critics but also received praises from Kamal Haasan. "It's a great feeling. I feel flying," Pasupathy said. Kamal Haasan showered praises on Pasupathy for portraying the role of Kotthalathevar with so conviction. Indeed, he outshined Kamal Haasan in the film. 

The film is running to packed houses. Pasupathy who had long association with a local theatre company, Kotthupattarai, met Kamal Haasan through actor Nasar. Kamal then gave him a chance in his magnum opus, MARUTHA NAYAGAM, which failed to take off. Then he got recognition in Vikram starrer DHOOL. With VIRUMANDI, Pasupathy has now become most sought after villain.
