Comedian Vivek was shown way to home midway from the film ARUL. After bearing his tantrums for three days, director Hari sacked the comedian. A M Rathnam produces ARUL in which Vikram plays the lead role. The film was recently launched. Vivek, the leading comedian in Tamil filmdom, is known for making comments on other stars and artists, and demanding uncomfortable demands.

He is reportedly asked the director to put a separate comedy track for him. Hari is said to have replied he could not do such thing sacrificing the storyline. And he replaced him with the another comedian Vadivelu.
