Veteran actors Ananthnag and Bharathi have teamed again in Kallarali Hoovagi. Earlier this pair became very popular due to the film 'Preethi Prema Pranaya'.

In Kallarali Hoovagi Ananthnag performs as doctor during the reign of Madakari Nayaka. Vijaya Raghavendra acts as Ananthnag's son. Ananthnag treats a Muslim girl who has some injuries. Because he nursed a Muslim girl, he is accused of betraying his king. Further Ananthnag's son falls in love with this Muslim girl enacted by Uma Maheshwari.

TS Nagabharana directs Kallarali Hoovagi. Akash Audio's Madhu Bangarappa is back to production with this historical film. Kallarali Hoovagi is based on famous writer B. L. Venu's novel of the same title. Ambarish plays the role of Madakari Nayaka. Sumalatha acts as his queen in the film. Devaraj is performing as Hyder Ali.
