Ratings: * (Oh my God!)
Special Comment: It's a Jeetendra era film, with Anil Kapoor playing
Jeetendra.
Anything more:Rekha wants to act like Raveena.
The film offers anything more: And Raveena doesn't care.
We have a senior Thakur, Rajnikant, who punishes his nephew Shakti Kapoor for raping a village girl, by forcing him to marry her. So, he kills Rajnikant and consequently, is thrown out of the community for 18 years. Shakti Kapoor waits for 17 years (wonder why!) to take revenge on the sons of Rajnikant - the elder Anil Kapoor, the younger Anil Kapoor and Harish. If the father is to be blamed, why does he want to take revenge on the sons?! Anyway, so the elder Anil is now the Thakur whose word is the law, just like his father. The younger Anil treats him like God and runs to him whenever he calls, leaving and throwing things around the place. His wife Raveena, a rich man's daughter, dislikes this and insults the elder one and the bhabhi maa Rekha many a time. Never mind they take it! Now, Shakti Kapoor has planted a teacher in the village to make advances at the younger Anil. Obviously our heroes can't have negative shades, so he insults her while she accuses him of rape. And the punishment is to leave the village.
Anil Kapoor does a fairly good job in the dual roles, Rekha is fine as a bhabhi but dangerously resembles a Christmas tree in a song sequence. Raveena is not consistent with her makeup and hairdo while Shakti Kapoor and Aruna Irani are a horror. All in all an avoidable film!
