Karan (Fardeen) and Khushi (Kareena) were born on the same day in two different cities in India. Coincidence does not seem to end here. Karan intends going to Canada for further studies, but due to an accident, is forced to join the Mumbai University. Khushi's father thinks that she should settle down in life. But Khushi has plans to continue her studies and she lands in the same varsity.

They two become friends through two of their friends Priya and Vicky. Priya and Vicky fall in love. Its upto Khushi and Karan to bring them closer. Meanwhile Khushi starts liking Karan. Then because of a small tiff they don't speak to each other. Again fate comes to their rescue. They decide to unite Priya and Vicky. They both love each other, but don't express it till the time comes to bid good-bye.

 Strictly speaking the film has nothing great to speak about. We have witnessed love story of this genre umpteen times. The first half of the film is good. Actually it's only the first half, which keeps the film going. There are some song which are good and others pop at times when they are really not needed at all.

Performance wise, Kareena is at her best. She has filled in life to her role. Kareena looks different and all the more appealing in KHUSHI. Fardeen has given a wonderful performance. He looks awesome as usual. Amrish Puri is good in his role; Jhonny Lever's role lacks substance. Overall KHUSHI is an okey dokey fair. It has its light moments. Might not fair well at the box office because of the world cup.
