Latest on the block is ISHQ VISHK. The film has everything that can keep it going for days together and of course money will flow. It has the youth factor, the colors, the college scenario and a lot more. Okay we agree that the story line is wafer thin, but then the treatment meted out by the director Ken Ghosh is very much different.
The simple story goes his way. Our hero is a college going dude, Rajeev (Shahid Kapoor). He and Payal (Amrita Rao) are childhood friends. And secretly Payal loves Rajeev. But Rajeev has other things on his mind. His dream girl should be modern; you know those hep and happening types.
As an answer to his search, comes Alisha (Shehnaz Treasurywalla). A stunning girl, whom everyone wants to pataofy. Everyone tries his chance and Rajeev emerges as the winner. But at the same time Rajeev realizes that he is not in love with Alisha. What?!? Yeah, our dude suddenly realizes that he is in love with Paayal.
Music is the asset of the film. Anu Mallik has given some really brilliant tunes. Picturisation of the songs are so so. But the tunes really stand out.
Apart from the fact that the story is very weak, the film has a lot of positive points. The first one being, our hero himself. Pankuj Kapoor's son Shahid is immensely talented. A good dancer, good actor, here is another talented entry into Bollywood. Amrita Rao and Shenaz are good at their roles. They have done justice. Rest lend adequate support.
Technically the film is good. The sets and the overall look are first-rate. Cinematography is in keeping with the mood of the film. Dialogues hold immense appeal for the youth.
ISHQ VISHK is a film that you would love to watch. It's wonderful and heart warming, with excellent dialogues and music. A total paisa vasool.
