Boney Kapoor returns again along with his upcoming and much talked-about film, KYON HO GAYA NA after the miserable failure of his last venture, RUN. The film directed by Sameer Karnik's features the biggies of the movie world ranging from Amitabh Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Aishwarya Rai, Om Puri, Rati Agnihotri to Tinu Anand. The film has been getting rapid promotion due to the off-screen chemistry between Ash and Vivek.

A sensitive-idealistic girl, Diya Malhotra (Aishwarya Rai) is the only child of Malhotra (Tinu Anand) who has single-handedly brought up Diya after his wife's death. Raj Chauhan (Amitabh Bachchan) is a close friend of Malhotra and happens to be a bachelor. He runs an orphanage for which he has dedicated his entire life. Being passionate for social activities, Diya is doing her Masters in Social Work. In order to take the exam, she arrives in Mumbai where she comes across a carefree, loving, adventurous guy, ARJUN (Vivek Oberoi). She has to stay at Arjun's home since his parents (Om Puri and Rati Agnihotri) are Malhotra's friends. Here emerges a tender comic situation when both share their opposing views on love and marriage.

Sunil Shetty and Diya Mirza also provide their special appearance in the film. The rest of the cast consists of Ajit Ahuja, Gaurav Gera, Rishi Raj and Rahul Maharya.

Director Samir Karnik has earlier rendered his services as an assistant to Vidhu Vinod Chopra in 1998's soft romantic movie, KAREEB. Javed Akhtar spells magic with lyrics for the film together with today's hot musicians, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy who compose soothing piece for the cinegoers.

The movie is scheduled to release in August 2004.
