'Five Unlikely Heroes
And One Elaan...'

This is the catch line Elaan is based on.

Bollywood has been experiencing unique ilk of themes these days, Elaan too shares its part in being different amongst the ongoing unique thematic movies. The cinegoers have so far witnessed only the men doing the heroic deeds in action packed formula movies. Elaan gives its viewers a chance to see the leading ladies in heroic action. So finally Bollywood goes Hollywood in terms of giving the ladies the central fighting roles to play. It is undoubtedly a fresh wave to enjoy with.

Featuring Rahul Khanna, Arjun Rampal, John Abraham, Lara Dutta and Amisha Patel, Elaan brings back the yesteryear's super star Mithun Da (Mithun Chakrobarty) after a long time. His return certainly makes the mark of happy news for his fans. Director Vikram Bhatt must be hoping high for the outcome of this actioner. Usually his hopes go astray soon after the release of his movies, let's see what happens with his Elaan?

Baba Sikandar (Mithun Chakrobarty), a gang lord, is the king of the underworld activities of drugs, murder and kidnapping.Still from Elaan His name sends shiver of fear in body. His phone calls brings the death warrants. He is a terrorist and sees no geographical boundaries to spread terror on the earth. No law affects him since he makes his own. Obey him (or) else you will simply lose your life. One man Karan Shah (Rahul Khanna) takes the oath to capture him and drag him back to India alive - this is his Elaan.

To fulfill his full of dangers mission, Arjun - an ex-cop (Arjun Rampal), Abhimanyu - a criminal (John Abraham), Sonia - a bar dancer (Lara Dutta) and Priya - a TV reporter (Amisha Patel) team up with him. These five unlikely heroes together make one Elaan "to capture Baba Sikandar alive".

The film has music by Anu Malik whereas Sameer handles the writing pad for the lyrics. The movie will hit the screens on January 14, 2005.
