Mahesh Manjrekar, the director of this innovative entertainer, brings something different every time he attempts a film. Sometimes he allures and the others he looks average but one thing is for sure that he comes up with innovations and experiments in this world of Hindi cinema where mostly the filmmakers intends to churn out the movies on the routine formulaic subjects to make money. Sangeeta Ahir, the lady heading the finance bank for this enterprise, is producing the film for the first time. And from the promos, it looks that she has given a full hand to the director and invested a handsome amount on this much-awaited fantasy, which is a cross between the yesteryear's blockbuster kids' comedy Mr. India and the mega hit of recent past Koi Mil Gaya (a science fiction targeted at the children).

Aditya Singh (Shahid Kapoor) lives in Mumbai with his huge family in an inherited house. His grandmother, sister Antara and brother Rohit with his kids - Rohan and Rinky are the people living with him. His elder brother Ajay's children also live with him. Ajay and his wife have died in a plane crash. Neha (Amrita Rao) teaches the kids at Aditya's house and lives in his neighbors. Both love each other and even Adi's (Aditya's) family wants him to get married with her but he likes his sister to tie the knot first. Soon he finds a match for his sister but the guy's family demands Rs.50 lacs as dowry first. Adi mortgages his house and arranges the money.

All looks well at Aditya's house until the day when Adi meets an accident. He is taken to the hospital where he dies in the operation theater. He finds himself in clouds with a well-dressed man. Seeing this suited-booted man and finding himself in clouds, he gets worried and asks him who are you? The man introduces himself as Yamraj (Sanjay Dutt) - the Lord of Death. Yamraj further told Adi that he is dead now as his soul has been picked. Since Adi is much worried about his family, he asks Yamraj to show his family's future that he does. Seeing Aditya's family's difficult and devastating situation, Yamraj cries and gives Adi a chance to go on earth to solve his family's problems. But Yamraj puts some conditions on him as he will be accompanying him and neither can he be seen by anyone nor he will have more days to spend there instead he will just be having a week to solve the matters of his family. Soon Adi finds a man on earth who can listen him......he is Fakira (Arshad Warsi) who then teaches him a meditation course, which gives him supernatural powers.

To know if Adi will be able to solve his family's problems? Wait to see all this on big screens in the theaters near you on 22nd December, 2005.
