The creative filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra returns with his upcoming outing Parineeta after the blockbuster success of last year's mega release, Munnabhai MBBS starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Varsi, Gracy Singh and Sunil Dutt in the lead. Vidhu once again teams up with all time favourite Sanjay Dutt in Parineeta.

Along with Bollywood macho man Sanju Baba in the pivotal role, the flick also features 'Chote Nawab' Saif Ali Khan and Raima Sen and launches a new face in industry Vidya Balan in central characters. Gorgeous Dia Mirza also makes a special appearance on the show. Veteran ad filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar is the director of this vehicle.

The major attraction of this fare is undoubtedly the famed toy train of the song, 'Mere Sapno Ki Rani' (picturised on Sharmila Tagore and Rajesh Khanna) from 70s popular movie, Aradhana. Vidhu has used the same train to shoot a frame on Saif Ali Khan in his enterprise. So both mother and son have done the honor to make a journey on this special celebrated train.

The film has been shot in the sleepy hills of Darjeeling and Kolkatta. The shooting has been completed in a hectic 50 days schedule and now this ready-to-serve project is under finishing touches.

A Vidhu Vinod Chopra's production, Parineeta - The Married Woman is an intense love story and an adaptation of a Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyaya original classic. The picture talks of the difference in a man and woman's perception of love and commitment.

Story adaptation has been done by Vidhu Vinod Chopra whereas Vidhu has also put his mind together with Pradeep Sarkar to pen the screenplay. Rekha Nigam has handled the dialogues assignment and Sawanand Kirkire manages the writing desk for lyrics. Shantanu Moitra decorates the tunes for the songs.

The music is expected to launch some time in the month of February 2005 and the film is slated for April 2005 release.
