No Salman - Akshay project

Thursday, November 10, 2005  The tinselville is abuzz with speculation that actor Puneet Issar, who made his directorial debut with Garv, has teamed Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in his next project. But Punit denies the development outright.
In an exclusive conversation with this writer, Puneet [he's shooting in Chandigarh] states that his next venture will star Salman only. "I really don't know how these rumours originated in the first place. I'd like to clear the misconception about the casting of my new film. It's a solo hero film with Salman again," he states. Punit adds that Salman and he have already zeroed in on a story and he's [Punit] currently working on the screenplay of the film. "Once I am ready with a hardbound script, Salman has promised to sit on his dates and accommodate my film," he adds. Punit reveals that the speculation vis-à-vis Salman and Akshay in his project may've arisen because he had made Cinevistaas sign Akshay when he was directing Garv. "But that was quite some time back. That was a different project entirely... Also, the film that I am planning with Salman now will be produced by me hopefully," he divulges. Send in your views on this feature
