Maniratnam can't find a hero!

 The most coveted director of Indian cinema is having problems in signing a hero for his film. The director facing this problem is Maniratnam, who has given best films to the Indian film industry. Mani's next film Guru stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan in the lead. He wants a hero opposite Vidya, but can't find any.
He approached many in the industry and almost all whom he has approached have said no. First Mani signed vivek, he was interested in the project initially. But after his break up with Ash, Vivek walked out of the project. We guess that he wanted to save himself from the emotional turmoil. Next Mani approached John Abraham. John asked for a narration, which was not given. Hence John stayed away from the project. Saif was asked, but he said nay as he had date problems. Now Mani is trying to rope in Kunal Kapoor (from Rang De Basanti). He too has asked for the script. Kunal Kapoor says, "Nothing has been finalized yet. I need to read the script."
