Isha Sharvani promotes Mallakhamb

Remember Isha Sharvani? She's the girl who debuted in Subhash Ghai's Kisna and was seen in most portions of the film as the girl dangling from banyan branches on cords and cables. Perhaps that was her way of expressing passion, pleasure and pain in the movie (though the audience might not had conceived her expressions likewise). But the actresses' flexible antics in the movie is actually an ancient sport of India called Mallakhamb, more prominent in the Maharashtra region that has somewhere lost its identity in the current age.

The immaculate actress will now promote the Indian gymnastic art beyond her movie too. Isha will be at the Shivaji Park nursery today evening to inaugurate the National Mallakhamb championships in Mumbai. Even actors Vivek Oberoi and Nana Patekar have been invited at the three-day meet of the event.
