Country's first made in India 24 hours entertainment channel for kids, 'Hungama TV' brings its aficionados a live action show called 'Hero'. Kids - now you do not have to be a superman to change the world instead all you have to do is make way for Hero (Joy), the boy-next-door who can save the day as he transforms into a super hero.
The show premiered on May 30th on Hungama TV from the UTV stable. This live action show now telecasts on the channel on every Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
This live action show is a fantasy talks about the heroic deeds and adventures of an ordinary boy named Joy who is bestowed with the exceptional magical powers by the Goddess Durga to help him fight the arch-villain Viraat. Interestingly his two dearly-loved toys 'Dholu and Bubbli' also transform into hilarious characters.
Chipping in her views on the show, Zarina Mehta (Head of Programming Hungama TV) utters, "Hero is laced with strong emotional appeal and Indian values and it treads superbly with the fantasy and comedy ingredients and along with these elements it makes an astonishing viewing experience for the kids. Before the launch of this show, we had thoroughly done a research whether the kids entice with the idea or not..! And it clicked hugely that the children love to watch the theme of 'Good winning over evil' and the struggle that follows. The same goes for our new animation shows 'Sonic X and Doraemon', which carry the same subject.
Hungama TV at its best offers the kids to enjoy their free hours with the excellent mix of programming, which contains animation, live action and game shows that has been tailor made keeping in mind individual viewing tastes of kids across different age groups. This thing happens due to the extensive research undertaken within Hungama TV and the whopping amount of the feedback we receive every day on every aspect of the channel from our kids board of directors - comprising 20 Hungama Captains aged from 4-14 years from across the country - which is certainly valuable and encouraging for the channel. It undoubtedly makes Hungama utterly different from the channels in the race that it has kids as the board of directors since the kids can truly and better understand the tastes of their own age-fellows.
Hero is created by Arif Ali of UTV and Waseem Sabir directs this vehicle, which features Sumeet Pathak (of Tum Ko Na Bhool Paayenge, Baazigar and Tarzan fame) as Hero. The show also offers a contest - all the kids has to do is participate in the 'Be A Hero Contest' by watching Hero at 7.30 pm from Monday-Thursday and tell us about any exciting adventure that he/she may have experienced in his/her life in 100 words. The winner will be invited to come to Mumbai to make appearance on an episode of Hero.
Hero is Hungama TV's another new valuable feather to its wings. Globally successful animated adventure-packed series 'Sonic-X' and internationally acclaimed animation series 'Doraemon' and 'Arthur' are also getting huge applause and are much viewed. Further, weekends have got better on Hungama TV that brings a bag of internationally acclaimed and Indian movies that make for great family viewing.
Kids - get ready to be teddy with your favorite channel's new launch 'Hero'..!
