It happens once again in Bollywood. A director is being alleged of plagiarising. And the centre on controversy is director Madhur Bhandarkar who was accused of raping small time model Preeti Jain last year. The common factor between both the cases remains that a female is taking the director to court.
A Delhi based writer Nirmala Buradia claims that Madhur Bhandarkar has lifted the main character of his latest film Page 3, played by Konkana Sen Sharma from her book 'Objection Mylord'. She adds that the director never bothered to inform her of borrowing ideas whereby she has filed a case of copyright violation at the Karkardooma district court in Delhi.
Bhandarkar however denies all such accusations claiming that his story is original which he had conceived and written along with writer Manoj Tyagi. He adds that he had registered his script with the Mumbai Film Writers' Association way back in October 2003 much before the shooting of the film had commenced.
