American Blend to be screened

Since American Blend has won the best director and best achievement filmmaker award at the Riverside International Film Festival in USA, now the flick will be screened at the Mami International Film Festival on Saturday 25th March 2006 at YB Chauhan Auditorium - Nariman Point.
The screening will commence at 7.00 p.m. The movie stars the best in field like Anupam Kher, Dee Wallace Stone, David Oyelowo, Kristin Erickson, Ruben Garfias and Ranjit Chowdhary. The film is about the coming together of people. It gives the view of a cultural explosion of a cross-cultural, part Indian / part American family living in Los Angeles, California.
It is a story of their trials & tribulations and their ultimate coming together in a colourful, musical, wonderful blend of both cultures. Varun Khanna has written and directed the flick brilliantly. Varun has started his career as a stage director at very young age of 7 years in India with the critically acclaimed production of Peter Shaffer's 'Equus'. He lives in Los Angeles. His debut as a feature film writer/director happened in 2004 with The Daily Variety calling Khanna's 'Beyond Honor'. 'American Blend' is the production of Krishna Datla under the banner of White Stripes Entertainment Ltd. Executive producer is D. Vasant. Anu Malik has scored the music for the film album.
