Sun Zara stars the likes of Samir Aftab and Anjana Sukhani in the lead. The duo behind the bouquet image is what the makers are delivering as a publicity material. Samir and Anjana have made their debuts in last year's movies 'Chand Sa Roshan Chehra' and 'Hum Dum'. The flick is the production of Salim and directed by Rohit Nayyer (who earlier made Muskaan). Anil Pandey scribbles down the lyrics whereas Sandesh Shandilya composes the tunes. The album features six songs in total. Let's judge, what it has to offer us...
Track 01: Unse Nazrein Mili Aur Bhi Nahi ((Amit Sana) Indian Idol runners-up Amit Sana (who is in utter limelight and getting singing assignments in Bollywood these days) opens the album with a romantic number, 'Unse Nazrein Mili'. He sings it with melodious voice and the song gels well with the ears. Anil Pandey writes in the good lyrics whereas the composer Sandesh Shandilya, who allured the souls with last year's romantic saga 'Socha Na Tha', stockpiles the tunes and entices you completely. A mellifluous opening.
Score: 7/10
Track 02: Sun Zara (Amit Sana) Following next is the title song, 'Sun Zara' sung once again by Amit Sana. This time too he attracts with his exceptionally done voice. The lyrics also holds value. Ditto for the music department.
Score: 7/10
Track 03: Dil Ki Sun Zara (Amit Sana and Shreya Ghoshal) The title track now repeats as a duet that is rendered by Amit Sana and Shreya Ghoshal. Since the experienced vocalist Shreya is with him, the track's worth is bagged much by her than Amit. But it is obvious he delivers the goods aptly nonetheless.
Score: 7.5/10
Track 04: O Jaana Tere Pyaar Mein (Neeraj Sridhar) Neeraj (the Bombay Vikings fame) is mostly known for churning out remixes of old songs but with this album, he brings in the original song to lure you. He warbles the lines superbly and the rest is done by the lyricist (Sandesh Shandilya, who himself pens in the lyrics for this song) and the musician (Sandesh Shandilya). Yes, the track can surely be recommended to enjoy with.
Score: 8.5/10
Track 05: Tere Rang Se (Sanjeevani) The 'Chori Chori' and 'Chura Le Na Dil' fame (from the movie Kareeb of Vidhu Vinod Chopra) Sanjeevani fetches the solo and frankly speaking she cannot impress much as she does usually. The lyrics are mundane and the composition looks old. Just passable.
Score: 2/10
Track 06: Woh Raat Mein Boli (Amit Sana) The celebration track finishes off the melodious album with Amit Sana, who has sung four songs of this entire album. He sings it with gusto and delivers high-pitched rendition. Kumar Kancha comes in the end and glides well with his part. The lyrics and music register good impact as well. Yes, a good finish to the soundtrack.
Score: 7/10
Soundtrack Upshot: Sun Zara is a superb effort by Sandesh Shandilya, who always tries to inject sugar in listeners' hearts. Since the publicity has not been done properly and is very low, the album is vividly losing its worth and going unnoticed. Wonder, why the makers hesitate to promote the soundtrack, which really needs to reach the listeners? If it is promoted aptly, the high sales can be expected from the stands.
Final Score: 8/10
