Presentation: Sahara One Motion Pictures Production: Percept Pictures Company Cast: Vivek Oberoi, Mahima Choudhary, Ayesha Takia and Boman Irani Music: Vishal-Shekhar Lyrics: Vishal Label: T-Series Songs: 12 The biggest comedy, Home Delivery has been making news from the outset due to the attractive starcast and catchy storyline. Director Sujoy Ghosh is back with this flick. Again he returns with innovation. After enjoying success with his directorial debut with Jhankaar Beats years ago, he expects the same rather more with this urbane comedy Home Delivery. A Sahara One Motion Pictures' presentation and Percept Pictures Company's production, Home Delivery brings the composers Vishal-Shekhar who earlier composed Jhankaar Beats for Sujoy Ghosh. Vishal pens in the lyrics for the songs of this album that has been released by the music biggies T-Series. Track 01: Home Delivery (Boman Irani) This super comedy album begins the show with the title track, Home Delivery that brings in a very special surprise for the listeners when they get to listen intelligent actor Boman Irani warbling the song vigorously. The singer inside this photographer turned actor finally comes out to entertain the audience. The chorus placed in the background trilling the words Home Delivery gels pretty well with the mood of the number. Vishal's lyrics personify the theme aptly and the composition by the duo of Vishal-Shekhar is a treat to be with. This fun song is a foot-tapping material altogether and entices the souls utterly. A sure-shot chartbuster. Track Score: 8.5/10 Track 02: Kaash (Shaan) Versatile Shaan is roped in to render a melodious track, 'Kaash', which features an instrumental version also next on the soundtrack. Shaan, as always, endows you with a catchy singing to hear and enjoy with. Vishal attracts the ears with his well-worded lyrics whereas Vishal-Shekhar's music has absolute hearing effects and one loves to press the repeat button to stay with this wonderful number. Track Score: 8/10 Track 03: Kaash (Instrumental) Honestly, the instrumental version doesn't have any potential to lure the listeners and falls flat. Track Score: 1/10 Track 04: Happy Diwali (Aparna, Divya, Suraj, Surthi, Vaishali and Sunidhi Chauhan) Since the festive season is ON these days first Diwali came then Eid thus keeping in mind the joys of festivals, director Sujoy Ghosh provides the listener a song to celebrate the festivals with pleasures. 'Happy Diwali' is a situational number and carries the voices of the kids 'Aparna, Divya, Suraj, Surthi and Vaishali' who enact their part very brilliantly. Sunidhi Chauhan joins in too and allures fully with her usual ease in singing. The song has superb value in terms of lyrics and music. The video is eye-pleasing and is first rate. Track Score: 8.5/10 Track 05: Happy Diwali (Remix) The remix version does not leave anything behind to arrest the listeners' attention and takes their breath away with the marvellous execution dolled up luminously by the team behind. Track Score: 8/10 Track 06: Chand Ki Roshni (KK) Intelligent singer laced with rapid fire enthusiasm to deliver the goods, KK fetches 'Chand Ki Roshni' to sing. This time he is awarded a slow track to do with and he smartens up the song with his good-headed techniques. This mellow romantic number has splendid lyrics from the house of Vishal. The music bank of Vishal-Shekhar lifts the spirits too. 'Chand Ki Roshni' can be rated the best song of the album. Track Score: 9/10 Track 07: Chand Ki Roshni (Instrumental) The album features the instrumental versions of the original tracks second time but again this too fails to register any impacts on the ears. No novelty at all and no quality stuff attached to it that can please the listener even for a moment. Track Score: 1/10 Track 08: Khushboo Churati (Sunidhi Chauhan) The soundtrack gets a bit popish now with, 'Khushboo Churati' that is soft but also popish. Sung beautifully by the adroit and everyone's favourite Sunidhi Chauhan, the song plays great with the youth but also wins with all ilks of the listeners and here it clicks the most. A fine stuff both lyrically and musically. Track Score: 7/10 Track 09: Khushboo Churati (Instrumental) Yes, this instrumental, one likes to give it a hearing at least for once. Track Score: 4.5/10 Track 10: Cuckoo Cuckoo (Shekhar and Sunidhi Chauhan) Shekhar teams up with Sunidhi Chauhan to chirrup 'Cuckoo Cuckoo' and they both do a meaty job. The song is adequate enough to let the ears put on it. Track Score: 6/10 Track 11: Maya (Sanjay Dutt)
Sahara One Motion Pictures, Percept Pictures Company and Sujoy Ghosh ... all know very well that how to catch the music aficionados' pulse. Understanding the real values of producing a worthy music, they put all ingredients in this album and now they bring Sanjay Dutt to do the singing assignment (as he is loved to hear every time he comes behind the mike, no matter if he isn't skilled in this art but his unripe renditions are hugely welcome and adored always). 'Maya' is a dedication to the role Mahima Choudhary plays in the film. Sanju burgles the hearts like he earlier did in 'Musafir'. Wonderfully penned lyrics and Vishal-Shekhar's excellently titivated composition are the other sparkles to this gorgeous fête. Fasten your belts to enjoy your favourite star's singing, which reveals his best. Track Score: 8.5/10 Track 12: Gyan Guru (Vishal Dadlani) 'Gyan Guru' is a funky number that is based on high tempo. Vishal catches the rhythm perfectly. The lyrics and music both add spices to the song making it a lucrative content to bask in the souls. A superb finish to the soundtrack. Track Score: 8/10 Soundtrack Upshot: The album of 'Home Delivery' is a stupendous work of art churned out by Sahara One Motion Pictures, Percept Pictures Company, director Sujoy Ghosh, musicians Vishal-Shekhar, singers and the other members of the crew. The whole team deserves distinction marks for creating such a pleasing music that very appositely fits well with the movie's theme. Heavy promotion plus the healthy stuff together they both can generate huge sales at the music stands. Final Score: 8/10
