When Sushmita broke down...

"Miss Sen has become a bit shameless of late and says that my performance in Main Aisa Hi Hoon is the best that you have seen" declares Sushmita in a divaesque manner. 'Lady, you have got yourself into trouble, because we aren't leaving this place without a chunky bit about your role', we chide her. "Why compromise for only a chunk, you can have much more. I love my role to death and will tell you as much as it takes to keep your copy going" she smiles. The lady is excited like nothing else. "Okay jaaneman, here it is. (Yeah, that's how she addresses people in general) I play this hard-boiled lawyer, Neeti Khanna who is fiercely ambitious and unapologetic about it. In the bargain, she begins to overlook her domestic responsibilities and her family takes a backseat. But so career-driven is she that, she is blind to her family hurting", Sush explains. "Its here that she takes on Indraneel's case to restore him the custody of his child. During this particular phase, Neeti is disarmed by the man's love for his child and she gets in touch with her finer self" Sush explains us with utmost sensitivity. "And there is this particular 400 feet courtroom sequence where my character breaks down and says, 'Tumhe takleef hoti hain to saara Shimla court aake khada ho jata hain, mujhe takleef hoti hain toh, ek aadmi khada nahi hota'. It is the most beautiful line I have ever delivered in a film" flags the stunner. Send us your views on this feature. Related StoriesWhat's uncool about Tusshar?
