Sush to perform with injuries
IANS
Wednesday, August 23, 2006

Sushmita SenSushmita Sen, who plays a stage performer in director Tanuja Chandra's "Zindaggi Rocks", has decided to perform at the music release function of the film notwithstanding her sprained neck.

"Sushmita has been out of the public eye for some time now because of her sprained neck. But now she is much better and will be making one of her first public appearances for our music release after being homebound for weeks," said Anurradha Prasad, producer of the film.

However, keeping her physical condition in mind, Sushmita will perform on a slow number at the event. "The number 'Humko choone paas aayiye' is a slow soft number by Sunidhi Chauhan. We chose this one for Sush keeping her neck condition in mind. The other tracks by Anu Malik rock hard. She'll be accompanied to the music release by her doctor," Prasad told IANS.

Not too many people know Sushmita loves to write poetry and to sing, though not professionally. Incidentally, Sushmita is quite accident-prone on the sets. During the shooting of Meghna Gulzar's "Filhaal" a huge overhead light had fallen on her head. Sushmita had passed out.

Thereafter, while shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar's "It Was Raining That Night" Sushmita's hair got caught in a fan and she was bedridden for nearly a month.
