Busy year ahead for Navya
2003 was an eventful year for Navya Nair. Four releases and she was constantly in news. Firstly because of her entry into Tollywood. Then she was in news for the payment issue of PATTANATHIL SUNDARAN. Later followed the news of her backing out from Dileep's gulf show. Some said that the actress had slowed down. But Navya says that her slowing down was intentional. She was busy with exams and now is free from all tensions and is back. Controversies are not new to her. Ever smiling Navya prefers not to speak about them. They are over and she prefers to bury them. She played variety of characters which included Pooja in GRAMAPHONE, Thattha in VELLITHIRA, Akhila is AMMAKILIKOODU and Radhamani in PATTANATHIL SUNDARAN. She terms the role of Akhila as the best. It was a bold character who spoke very little but conveyed a lot with expressions. For the first time she played the role of a wife in PATTANATHIL SUNDARAN. Both the roles were very different from each other. Navya will debut in Tamil films in the film AZHAGIYA THEEYE. This film is being produced by Prakash Raj. Prassana plays the male lead opposite Navya. She does not find much difference working in Tamil Nadu. It has been a great experience and she does add that Tollywood is far better technically. This year we would get to see her in JALOTSAVAM opposite Kunchako Boban. She plays a role of an orphan. Also Refi Martin's CHATHIKATHA CHANDU is in pipeline. Again here too Boban plays the male lead.
