Film buffs were waiting for the film to be launched. But it seems some people did not want the project to take off. They planted news in a magazine that Mr L.J. is getting ready for an art film. They announced Mr L.J. would start shooting his art film in December.

Well, 'CHEKAVAN' did not start in December. Not even in January. That's all they wanted. The producer who came forward to finance CHEKAVAN backed off reading the news. He did not trust the director. Rather he believed the report. Now L.J. has to wait till Mammootty gets free from his 'CHRONIC BACHELOR' schedule.

Lal Jose also had planned to direct a film with Mammootty when he announced CHEKAVAN. He thought he would finish CHEKAVAN first with new comers and then start the work of Mammootty film. Now he had to wait. He has to prove that MEESA MADHAVAN was not a fluke. But film industry as every one knows is like the monsoon clouds. It may rain heavily or just pass off.
