She has given a superb performance in Ranjith's MIZHI RANDILUM. Kavya Madhavan, the lucky charm proved that she is an actress with substance in MIZHI RANDILUM. In this film she not only plays the central character but is also in a dual role. This holds great importance to her. Till now either she played second fiddle or was a part of a male dominant film. This is the very first time in her career that she played as the central character.

Kavya plays the role of twin sisters in MIZHI RANDILUM. Bhama and Bhadra are two sisters. Though they have identical looks they are different by nature. Bhama works as a nurse and is the sole breadwinner of the family. Bhadra is a medical student and is out going by nature.

Kavya's forthcoming films include TWO WHEELER. This film also stars Jayasoorya, Jishnu and Nishant Sagar. The project has been temporarily been put off due to financial crisis. She performs as an elder woman who conducts the rituals of worship at the serpent-shrine of Mannarsala in GOURISHANKARAM.
