Acting with Mohanlal and Mamootty makes her nervous. When Jyothirmayi got offer to do roles in PATTALAM and HARIHARAN PILLAI HAPPYAANU, the thought of acting many combination scenes with these two superstars terrified her. But all her fears were laid to rest when the directors assured her that she does not have many combination scenes.

It's been a long journey for Jyothirmayi. She began as a model then graduated to a model and now she is establishing herself as an actress. Jyothirmayi started her career in Malayalam films with BHAVAM. She has no regrets that she did the 'chinga maadhathil' song in MEESA MADHAVAN. Infact she is happy that it is that song which brought her a lot of accolades.

Jyo does not hesitate to reveal that initial she had doubts about dancing, but it was director Lal Jose who assured her that she was capable of dancing into the hearts of the audience with her grace.

Like the rest of youngsters she too had big dreams. Jyo actually wanted to do a course from the Pune Film Institute. But she could not get a seat for the course and she opted to do a diploma in journalism. Irony is that years ago she used to interview people but now she is being interviewed.

She was quite confident to play a mother's role in ENDE VEETU APPUNETAM. Jyo says that she loves kids and she knew that she was the one who could deliver the best for this role.
