Gopika's debut film was PRANAYAMANITHOOVAL opposite Jayasurya. This film did not make much news. Then she was cast as a Malayalee girl in Cheran's Autograph. She says that Fazil recommended her to Cheran. Most of the scenes were shot in Alappuzha. The best part was that she dubbed her own dialogues.

She never expected 4 The PEOPLE to be a hit. Today she is thankful o god that the songs Lajjavathiye and Annakili were shot on her. Now she has also forrrayed into Kannada films. She has signed KANASINALOKA, a Kannada film. She also has two Telugu films in hand. Both are remakes of AUTOGRAPH and AZHAGI. Gopika is taking care to sign films. She does not want to make a mistake and is very careful.
