Of late Navya Nair has been in news for some reason or the other. It started of with her rejecting to take part in Arabian Express Thriller by asking a big amount. Now she has refused to do her dubbing for the film PATTANATHIL SUNDARAN. The film is scheduled to be a Christmas release.

The producer of the film Liberty Basheer has complained that Navya is demanding for more and has refused to do the dubbing for the film. In reaction to this the Kerala Film Chamber has asked its members not to produce, distribute and exhibit films starring Navya Nair.

Denying these allegations Navya says that she has not demanded more, but has asked for what Liberty Basheer owes her. She in turn has sent a letter to AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists), when she was refused the money.
