Heroines should not throw tantrums and criticisms against film Directors. This is a thumb rule of movie industry as directors are the breadwinners of heroines. Rules do change.

Now in Malayalam cine industry the lead actresses, Navya Nair and Renuka Menon, are setting a new trend by heavily lambasting the lead directors. The reasons cited are overshadowing of roles and obscene shots. The directors in the trial court are Vinayan, Kamal and Bhadran.

It is the rain song of VELLITHIRA that has turned Navya Nair against Director Bhadran. Navya said that Bhadran had cheated her after promising that he will not shoot anything obscene. "Bhadran also gave some assurance before shooting the rain song. He (Bhadran) even told me that he had a daughter of the same age of me," said the angry Navya.

But Bhadran said that Navya had totally enjoyed the rain song with Prithviraj , the new blue-eyed boy of Malayalam Cinema. "In this excited mood, Navya showed off more than I expect. I had edited out many such loose shots," Bhadran retorted.

Navya also flayed director Kamal for overshadowed her role in GRAMAPHONE. Navya complained that Meera Jasmin, another actress in GRAMAPHONE, was given much importance than her though she is in the lead role. "Before shooting, Kamal had promised that my character is equally important with that of Meera Jasmin. But once movie released, my role eclipsed," said a dejected Navya.

Another complainant is Renuka Menon, NAMMAL-fame actress. She found fault with director Vinayan for overshadowing her role in MEERAYUDE DHUKKAVUM MUTHUVINTE SWAPNAVUM. Renuka Menon said that Ambili Devi, another heroine in the movie, got much importance than her in this film. She said, "Vinayan had promised earlier that both heroines will have equal roles," said disappointed Renuka. She told that She does not expect such an act from a director of Vinayan's rank. "
