Director Lal Jose has plans for ONAM. He is coming up with a project in which Dileep will play the lead role. Lal Jose and Dileep were mutually benefited out of 'MEESA MADHAVAN'. Lal Jose currently shooting "PATTALAM' with Mammootty plans to start his proposed project immediately. It's already been named and KOCHANIYAN is the name of the film. All Dileep films have a name of rural appeal. So is KOCHANIYAN.

The story and script for KOCHANIYAN is by all in one filmmaker Balachandra Menon. One wonders how a director like him who wanted to handle all the creative departments including music direction by himself is now completely surrendering to the demands of the Dileep wave. Well Mr Balachandra Menon is 50 plus and he cannot be another MGR, Amitabh, or Mammootty.
