Dileep is becoming a new role model among actors. He is giving his dates to the small time producers and directors instead of big banners. Further he is instrumental in bringing new scriptwriters and technicians to the field.

Nobody has done in this magnitude. In the past the dates of super stars never reached beyond a gang of benami filmmakers who traded the dates to the big time distributors. Though the actors were not directly involved they could not help the situation. The quick money makers roped in the super hit directors to direct the film for which they secured the dates of the super actors. What reached the sets first was invariably a set of stunt artists, a band of belly dancers. The shooting started on the basis of a hastily written story. The script was written at the last minute and under the camera. These films flopped and super actors became the most ridiculous people in the eyes of the public.

Dileep never allows this farce for he knows film is his food and water. He wants to remain in the field for some more time. He knows he has not got all the time in the world. While Mohanlal and Mammootty have remained in the field for two decades Dileep realizes a whole band of new generation actors are flowing to Malayalam cinema and is bound to retreat him sooner than he thinks. He follows the path of Tamil young artists who listens to younger generation directors. Dileep has so far given dates to only youngsters and new generations of filmmakers who are coming up lately like Muralikrishan, Sunder Das, Akbar Jose, Vipin Mohan, Jhonny Antony, Jayasoorya. Dileep has become instrumental in making the Malayalam film scene free of monopoly traders. Now more and more new directors and artists will surely march in.
