Kavya Madhavan would not have expected this much. It is a double role with great scope for acting, that definitely is going to attract the attention of the critics, viewers and the industry. That too offered by a director like Ranjith. One need congratulate her on achieving this sort of success in a short period. But what she should immediately do is to prevent her body growing in all directions. It is not a world of Ranjiths, Kamals and Satyans whose only considerations are talents. Kavya is just a young girl but her present looks would only get her mature roles that Sreevidya or Jayabharathy handle now.
'MIZHI RANDILUM' features Kavya Madhavan in a double role of twin sisters. One is Bhadra a nurse, the first to born among the twins, goes through the toughest part of her life carrying the burden of running the family on her shoulders. The first reports of the film mentioned only about this role and the PRO's kept harping about a strong woman character that Kavya is doing. Malayalam films in the past had seen such roles played by the most talented artists like Sheila, Sarada and others. One wondered what is so special about the role.
What they did not mention was the other role-played by Kaavya in MIZHI RANDILUM. Bhama sister of Bhadra, a medical student supports the main role that doubles the effect of Kavya's character. It is the contrast in these two characters that builds the theme into a strong one in 'MIZHI RANDILUM'. Ranjith has almost finished his shooting and is proceeding to the lab for post production works.
