SATHYAM, the Prithviraj starrer will be remade in Telugu. The film marks the actor's first step towards stardom. Prithviraj played a cop in the film and the movie has been doing roaring business at the box office. The Telugu version of the film will star Sumanth in the lead. Vinayan who directed the Malayalam version will also direct the Telugu version of the film. Though the Telugu film industries have remade many Tamil hits into Telugu, they did not experiment with any Malayalam film except for the film titled 4 THE PEOPLE, which was remade into Telugu. Now, with SATHYAM, this depicts a slight shift of preferences towards Malayalam films.
