Seema sank Sraddha?
With Shraddha turning out to be a damp squib at the box-office, everyone is left wondering how the Mohanlal starrer could flop despite having all commercial ingredients. Insiders say that the film’s director, I V Sasi, messed up the script by shifting to a storyline that sidelined Mohanlal and focused on Sasi’s wife Seema instead (in a supporting role Seema dominated the first part of the film completely!) Agreed Seema could pull in the crowds when she did soft-porn films with the director, but that she enjoys the same attraction in her middle age and that too in a Mohanlal film, speaks of Sasi’s blind obsession.

Personal vendetta behind ban
It may be recalled that recently a ban was imposed on five unreleased films for allowing television channels to telecast their shootings and film clippings. However, according to some insiders, personal vendetta is the reason behind the ban. One of the banned five films -- Joker by Lohitdas -- was financed by a video king known for paying only a pittance to producers while acquiring the video rights of their films. So, when Lohitdas gave an interview to a channel, the Kerala producers- distributors combine got the right opportunity to ban the film. Finally, the video king had to buckle down and hence the ban on all the five films has been withdrawn.

Friends Turn Into Foes
Music director Vidyasagar and singer M G Sreekumar were close friends and even shared common vices like seducing girls who came to sing. Its been heard now, that these friends who shared everything are bitter enemies. Because Sreekumar refused to share his glory and money with Vidyasagar. Sreekumar who went on a Gulf tour found that he was a much in demand singer and the sponsors were offering him good bucks.

When Vidyasagar got an offer to perform in Dubai he put Sreekumar as one of the singers but to his dismay he was told to look for someone else. As this great singer would hereafter perform alone and not with any sagar's. Sagar in turn threw Sreekumar from all his films. Who is the loser, only time would tell.

Vani Marries Stunt Actor?
Vani Vishwanath the action queen of Malayalam cinema has married Baburaj, a stunt man and a villain in films and TV serials says the industry. Vani first met Baburaj , already married and a father of two children, at the locales of The Gang, which was produced by Baburaj himself. Later they worked together in Rapid Action Force. Baburaj is a constant escort of Vani in all locales. He is a resident of Alwaye (Kerala) but stays in Vani's apartment in Chennai say film circles. Baburaj who was once accused in a murder case and later acquitted is it seems the suspect of the famous Alwaye murder says a section of the press.

Money Makes Miracle
Suresh Gopi's leg injury is a ruse to avoid producers who do not pay up says the industry. He was to report for Agninatchitram and when he found that the producer did not pay the advance he pretended to have a leg injury and that too while dancing for Thillana Thillana in which he plays a guest role. He left from this set to Chennai where Dhina's producer was waiting with money. The Agninatchitram's producer then left for Chennai with money to confirm Suresh. And a miracle happened! His leg injury was healed. It's the first time in medical history that money did what medicine does!
Simran, beware!
Not many know that Simran's mentor wasn't ABCL but Haridas, who had cast her opposite Mammootty in Indraprastham. And though Simran’s stocks rose with time, Haridas went into oblivion after the film bombed. Now we hear he’s planning a comeback and Simran has obliged her mentor by giving him dates for a Malayalam film that he plans to direct.

Probably, Simran is unaware that Haridas also has a soft porn film too his (dis)credit) – Gandharvan. Apparently, he told the artistes, mainly from telly, that it was a very arty film and was listed for awards in the Panaroma section. However, the truth was out when the male members were told one fine morning to do some intimate scenes with the heroine Vichitra. And though the actors felt taken for a ride they finally gave in. Anyway, the wise Haridas did not take credit for the film. But what will Simran dear do if her mentor wants to present the same panoramic view of her?
