The VPP scare
Why are film directors afraid of Value Paid Parcels?
It could be only a parcel of books or sex-health medicines ordered by self, couldn't it?
But when director Rajesenan received one it was not. Rajasenan has entertained viewers with his films such as Melepparambil Aanveedu and Ayalathe Addeham. His latest film Malayali Mamanukku Vanakkam was released last month. Naturally people thought it would entertain like the earlier ones. But it did not. Some smart viewers had an idea. They booked a VPP for the value of a couple of hundred rupees to Rajasenan. It was a mere letter asking for a refund of value of cinema tickets purchased to see the film Malayali mamanukku Vanakkam. The address shown was that of a bookshop. And it was a relative of the director who accepted the parcel thinking the director could have ordered for some book by VPP. Smart!
Don't you think other directors deserve packets by VPP from the viewers?
