Four face boycott

Dileep Following the failure of talks between 'MACTA' the association of film technicians and film chamber, producers have almost reached a consensus to do away with these artists and technicians from films they make. All of these have popular appeal in Kerala but producers think they can terminate that earlier and bank their hopes on other artists. They simply will not either cast Dileep and Innocent or entrust Shaji Kailas and Ranji Panikkar with directorial and script assignments.

The producer's community argues that it is their 'professional' right to choose artists and technicians. So from July 1 these four may not be given any assignments. This is a secret arrangement they have reached. But evidence of denying 'rights for work' could be produced before a court once the producers who have already booked Dileep and Innocent in films that are to be started from July 1 are asked to withdraw them.

Director Vipin Mohan and Satyan Anthikkadu have planned to start their films from July 10. Dileep acts in Vipin Mohan film and Innocent in Satyan film. The ban on those actors who accept assignments in both TV and films are also comes in effect from July 1.

Amma the organization of actors may call for a total stoppage of shooting all films if chamber proceeds with ban and boycott of artists and technicians.
