Kamalakshi is a devoted wife. She strives hard for her family. Kamalakshi satisfies her husbands need whatever they are. But Gokulakrishnan is not as understanding as Kamalakshi. It was a late marriage for him. It materialized only in his late thirties, and so an unromantic Gokulakrishanan never bothers to be soft and caring to Kamalakshi. He is of the opinion that women are to be controlled totally by harsh words, force and threat and accordingly he treats his wife. Kamalakshi is scared of Gokulakrishnan. While Kamalakshi is humble and easily satisfied Gokulakrishnan is hard and never feels contented.
He is preoccupied with his dream of getting a transfer to the main branch in Trivandrum as the manager. He is works in an advertising agency in Palakkad, a place he detests. But getting a transfer is not easy. There are at least half a dozen senior executives aiming the coveted seat in Trivandrum branch. One among them is Madanagopal who is working in Trivandrum. He wants a promotion to the post.
Gokulakrishnan succeeds in getting the transfer to the place but the spite between him and Madanagopal starts right from the moment Gokulakrishnan joins.
Vikramasimha Varma the chief executive is very strict and is secretly called Bin laden in the office by everybody. Both Madangopal and Gokulakrishna start wooing Vikramasimha Varma.
Mukesh, Aiswarya and Jagathy Sreekumar, Ranjitha are the main couples in the film who takes off the story to the comic heights. Baiju, Janardanan, Vijayaraghavan, Harisree Asokan, Indrans, Sangeetha tampi, Ranjith, are the other actors in Tenali Raman.
Rajan Kiriyath writes the story and Ramesan Nair writes script and songs. Bernie Ignatius scores music. Jayachandran, M G Sreekumar and Vidhu Pratap are the singers.
