S N Swamy and Shibu Chakravorthy are to write a script for director Ambadi Krishnan. Suresh Gopi has been selected to play the lead role in the film 'Sumitra'. No heroine has been selected as yet. Shibu will be writing the lyrics and Ouseppachan is to score the music.

Biju Menon in Sibi Malayil film

Sibi Malayil who found success in directing small films with low budget and second line artists is ready for his next film. He has selected Biju Menon as the hero for the film. A new banner Zen films produces this film with almost all known second line artists in Malayalam. The shooting of this film will start in May second week in Ernakulam.

Lal creations casts Dileep again

Lal creations, which made hit films like Friends, Hitler and Thenkasippattanam is producing Kalayanaraman. Shafi will be directing this film in which Dileep is the hero. Benny P Nayarambalam has written the script and Kaithapram has penned the lyrics. Music is scored by Bernie Ignatius.

Remake of Thenkasi pattanam

Samyuktha Varma is acting in a Tamil film Market Mappila a remake of the hit Malayalam film Thenkasippattanam. She has Sarathkumar as her hero in this film directed by Rafi Mecartin. Devyani is her co-star.

Mammootty in Fazil film

Fazil has started shooting of his film Kaiyethum Doorath in Alleppy. Shanu Fazil's son , and Nikitha a model from Mumbai are the leading pairs in Kaiyethum Doorath.

Super star Mammootty has an important role in this film. Mammootty has visited the location in Alleppy and spent some time with the new comers. He will join the unit in another location for his part.

Kunhikkoonan abandoned

Kunhikkoonan a project in which Dileep was to act has been abandoned since a similar character was enacted by Harisree Asokan in Vinayan's Oomappenninu Uriyaadappayaan.

Gramaphone commences shooting

Gramaphone directed by Kamal has started shooting in Mattanchery. Dileep and Meera Jasmine have joined the unit from day one.
