Mankolangal was selected in one or two film festivals in India.
Krishnapakshakkilikal is a story of the rare relation ship between a mother and son set against the background of communal tension.
Revathy as Mary a widow with her only son leads a miserable life in a suburban colony. The young boy is well aware of what is going on around him and vows to work with those who want a change in the society. His mother is in a dilemma.
The story is written by A K Pudussery and cinematography by Muralikrishna. Narendraprasad, Saikumar, Bindu Panikkar are the main actors apart from Revathy. The rest are new comers.
Jayaraj back on mainstreamJayaraj is again on the commercial track after he had directed

Santham, which were considered as art films and placed him on a high pedestal. He has signed Dileep to play the lead role in this film, which is not yet named. Six songs were recorded in Lal Media Center in Kochi for the new film being directed by Jayaraj after
Kannaki. Kathapram brothers, Damodaran Namboodiri (lyrics) and Viswanath (music) are in charge of the songs and music. Yesudas, Chitra, and Jayachandran are the play back singers. The film begins shooting in July first week near Koottanadu in Palghat. Anish Varma of Hamsadhwani films produce this film.
Viji Thampi directs Biju Menon and Soundarya
Viji Thampi is bringing Tamil actress Soundarya to Malayalam to play the heroine role opposite Biju Menon. B Unnikrishnan who wrote Sivam for Shaji Kailas writes the screenplay for Viji Thampi. The film begins shooting in Peerumedu on July 15.
Jagathy, Siddique, Rajan P Dev, are the other main actors. S Ramesan Nair wrote the lyrics and M Jayachandran scored the music.
K Madhu-Mohanlal film starts in TrivandrumThe songs for the K Madhu - Mohanlal film were recorded last week in a Trivandrum studio. Aditya vision produces this film in which Mohanlal plays the role of a political leader named Jimmy Attiprakkal. There are two heroines in this film and one is Nandini. The other is yet to be decided. The shooting location is Kottayam.
