Lenin Rajendran brings Rati Agnihotri to Malayalam
 There was no announcement. Director Lenin Rajendran quietly started his shooting his new film in the Western Ghat forests in the last weekend of January. He called the editors of the film magazines from somewhere on the way to the location and just went out of cell range. Even the pooja and camera switch on took place in the deep forest. He has named the film 'ANYAR' which means 'The others'. Lenin Rajendran brings Rati Agnihotri the famous Hindi actress to Malayalam screen in a very important role through this film. Biju Menon, Jyothirmayi, Lal and Oduvil Unnikrishnan, are the other main artists in 'ANYAR'. 'MAZHA' was the film Lenin directed last. Incidentally it was during the shooting of MAZHA that Biju Menon and Samyuktha Varma fell in love. A small tribal hut in the Muthanga reserve forests on the Kerala-Karnataka border has become the center of activity. Lenin Rajendran and his crew are busy shooting the film. All the stars are present and the work is really going fast. 'ANYAR' essays the short period of a communal riot that shook a part of a thickly populated valley. A TV reporter and a filmmaker go through the area. They find the life has become one big never-ending nightmare there in the valley. The TV reporter Razhiya and the filmmaker Sooraj are attacked on a Bandh day and they find a shelter in a small hut in the forest. The occupants, a husband and wife Raghavan and Kamala (Lal and Rati Agnihotri) receive them. They learn about the days of communal conflict. It is an account of those days when people hated each other. Lenin Rajendran a committed filmmaker examines the pattern of the growing menace in our society in 'ANYAR'. The film will be finished in short period. This will be shot in Gundalpet near Mysore, Calicut and in Trivandrum. The story and script is by Lenin Rajendran himself. He has written the dialogues also. He wants the film to be released in April.
