Last time we saw Rambha in Malayalam cinema was in CHRONIC BACHELOR. Though the film was a hit, she was unable to garner roles. Now she is back in Malayalam cinema with the film MAYILATTAM.

Jayaram plays opposite Rambha. He plays dual role in this film. One is of Devan a farmer and the other is of Palani a street fighter. Rambha's father is a Zamindar who terrorizes Devan (Jayaram). Devan runs away from his village and meet Palani. Then they exchange roles and its time for the Zamindar to get terrorized.

Rambha plays the role of Maithili, who is the Zamindar's daughter. She is very arrogant. Vinu VM directs this film he had earlier directed BALETTAN. M Jayachandran scores the music and Girish Outhencherry has penned the lyrics. Others in the star cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalabhavan Mani and Oduvil.
