Yet, another Campus Love Story.
The one who is getting a good share of limelight in Malayalam film land today, is Pritviraj. He by sheer talent has become the first choice of the producers for he has the range. With implicit humor coupled with right amount of emotions he carries out what is required of him in a role he plays. He has the innocence of a teenager but smartly enough; he emits rays of energy of youth as well. Those who are after quick money may opt for Dileep but their next choice would definitely be Prithviraj. Pritviraj and a gleaming Gheethu Mohan Das are paired for the first time in 'FIFTY FIFTY' directed by Viji Thampy. The success of 'NAMMAL' a campus story gives a lot of hope to the producer and director of 'FIFTY FIFTY'. Pritviraj and Gheethu play the roles of Vicky and Anu. The background is an Engineering college. Vicky is an all rounder and the girl students adore him. Almost all the girls crave to make friends with Vicky. Anu is equally bright and talented. They find each other complimenting in many aspects. Their family background being the same makes them more comfortable. Vicky's father is an I A S officer and Anu is the daughter of the most respected journalist in the capital. But there are others who detest the friendship between Vicky and Anu. Josy a childhood playmate of Anu is one among them. Roy with criminal tendencies also tries to create trouble all along. Some incidents that take place in the campus make Vicky and Anu split and every time he tries to patch up, it deteriorates more. The gap widens even more. Anu gets closer to Josy for help. Their relationship becomes warmer. All will turn out to be unexpected. Vicky and Josy become adversaries. These opposing roles are played by Prithviraj and his elder brother Indrajith whose entry to films was initially in a villain role. They vie each other in acting and it is a pleasure to watch the off springs of a super actor competing on screen. The cast includes Balachandra Menon, Jagathy, Suhasini, Revathy, Siddique, and Jijo. Viji Thampi and Alex Kadavil are the scriptwriters in the film.
