One record of Mukesh is that he has acted with the most number of heroines including the TV Ramayan Seetha Ms Deepika Chikhlia. Another record is that most of his heroines were introduced in to films co acting with him. He has established as a hero handling comedy.

HARIHAR NAGAR, RAMJI RAO SPEAKING, MANNAR MATHAI were his ace pictures. Out of circulation for a brief period he has returned to screen with PAKALPPOORAM and it has fetched him more roles. Mukesh now has been cast in a different kind of role in KALARIVIKRAMAN.

It is a story about a village Pariyarampatta isolated from the rest of the world. The village has no electricity, transport, any telephone and Vikraman arrives in this godforsaken place. Director attempts a light fantasy on the village life with a touch of humor. The story has two phases- pre Vikraman and post Vikraman periods. The difference shown gives enough scope for a visual feast.

He village has unscalable Tannisseri high lands and a fierce river Chanramathi. The village is trapped in between these and hence its present uncivilized state. Vikraman becomes instrumental in changing the village.

Mukesh is aptly selected for playing this role and he has some of the best comedians to support him in this rustic film. Simhavalan Ravunni the temple oracle is played by Cochin Haneefa, Jagathy is Columbus Pillai who occasionally scouts a few villages beyond the horizon, Harisree Asokan the village thief Pakkaran. Once again Mukesh is going to act opposite a new face in Kalari Vikraman.

Babu Janardanan has written the script and Deepak is directing this film. This is his debut film. The shooting starts in Thodupuzha this week.
