Biju Menon is busy. His immediate priority is to invite his relatives and friends for his marriage in various places in Kerala and Chennai. He is traveling a lot. In between he has to report before Sibi malyail. The shooting of KISAN is going on in pollachi. Biju Menon, Kalabhavan Mani, Lal and Manoj K Jayan are the main actors. The combination shots at this juncture are a little bit messy. Biju Menon takes utmost care not to disturb the schedule.

ethos Sibi Malayil had always shot his films in Kerala locations. All his stories had a directness that projected the Malayali. So he rarely went out of Kerala soil except for some patch shots and a few song sequences. This is the first time Sibi has chosen Pollachi as his location. It is because the story needs a different terrain with people of rustic nature. An atmosphere of farming with lush green nature and enterprising laborers are the tools Sibi wanted this time for his new film. Pollachi has all the ingredients and the infrastructure for shooting.

Velu played by Kalabhavan Mani and Devan played by Biju menon are the main characters in KISAN. Velu is a hard working farm laborer. He with his folks and friends stay in a backward colony. They are fondly called as the 'Sevens' for they are known for their sevens football team that comes with the laurels every time there is a tournament.

They are a happy go lucky and the best Samaritans. Velu has a sister Kilimati very dear to him. And he likes a girl Kalyani. Velu has a friend named Devan who belongs to the royal family and presently studying abroad.

Sibi takes us to the little dramas, joys, sorrows and conflicts of this simple life of velu and others in KISAN.

Sibi is introducing a new pair of scriptwriters in Kisan- Paul brother's brothers. Sibi who has brought a number of films with literary qualities is now experimenting with simple straight stories with popular stars. He believes only this is the kind of films will save the industry from its present crisis.
