Playback singer Unni Menon is signed as hero and Nandini Gozal an Odissi dancer as heroine in STHITHI a venture by Sarath who won the state award for 'SAYANNAM'.

Sarath earlier planned to shoot 'SUMUKHI' with Yuktha mukhey as the heroine. It was a dream project of his that was abandoned since he believes the T K Rajeev Kumar's film SUNDARI handles the same theme. In fact he had accused T K Rajeev Kumar hijacking his theme.

Sarath who wants to take a different course in film making with more stress on artistic aspects has taken classical music as his theme in STHITI. 'It is contemporary', Sarath claims and he wants this to be completed with least production cost. Story is by Gokul Das. Poet Prabha Varma writes the songs for the film and Sunny Viswanath scores music. Unni Menon and Chitra are the playback singers.

VALLABHANU PULLUM AAYUDHAM

'VALLABHANU PULLUM AAYUDHAM' a film with Mani in the lead role has started shooting. It has Jagathy, Jagadeesh, Salim Kumar, Kottayam Nazeer, Harisree Asokan, Navas, Mamukkoya, Machan Vargheese, Suja Karthika, Bindu Panikkar, and Kanakalatha. Mammy Century is directing the film.

PREMABHISHEKAM

Director Jose Thomas introduces a new artist in the lead in his PREMABHISHEKAM, which has recorded six songs at Chetna studios in Trissur. Yusuf Ali has written the songs and Jayachandran has scored the music.

Santhosh Pali is being introduced as the hero in PREMABHISHEKAM and the leading ladies are Kavya Madhavan and Vasundhara Das. Innocent, Cochin Haneefa, Harisreee Asokan, Nedumudi Venu, are the other important actors in this film. Uday Krishnan and Sibi K Thomas have written the script. The shooting will start in Guruvayoor shortly.

Pranav, gets a second film

Pranav, (Mohanlal's son) who acted in ONNAMAN gets another film PUNARJANI. It's a children's film. Rajesh Ravi will be directing this film.
