Malayalam cinema will very soon witness a film on Naga's. Lord Naga (snake god) is believed to be one of the most powerful gods. This film has been named as GAURISANKARAM. Nemom Pushparaj will be directing this film. This will be his debut directorial film. So far he has done art direction for about 80 films.

Gauri and Sankaran are childhood buddies. As they grow up their friendship grows up into love. They get married. Life seems to be bliss. But then... Sankaran family home is very ancient and they believe in worshiping the snake gods. His family also believes that there exists a snake god and snake goddess in their family home. This also becomes a reason for the separation of Gauri and Sankaran.

Madambu Kunjikuttan is penning GAURISANKARAM's story. Kavya Madhavan plays the role of Gauri and new face Munna has been cast opposite her. Munna happenes to be the nephew of yester year actress Jayabharathi. Other's in the star cast include Sukumari, Urmila Unni and Oduvil. M Jayachandran scores the music for this film.
